Happy Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma Students just after finishing their studies

The 2009 to 10 Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma students are now enjoying a well earned rest after completing the year long course and the external IFA exams, before they begin their career as International Federation of Aromatherapy accredited Holistic Aromatherapists.  Here are some comments about their training experience.

This is the most stimulating course I have studied in years.

I’d like to thank you for a wonderful year it has literally changed my life.  Thank you so much for all the support and the excellent teaching.  I’ve  learnt so much and this is the start of much better things for me.

I have had such a fantastic year.  I felt that I had lost me and who I was - but I’m back!  Your encouragement and knowledge has been superb.

It is time to apply for the one-year Holistic Aromatherapy Correspondence Diploma starting on 6th September 2010 to make sure you secure a place.

Also starting soon is the Aromatouch Aromatherapy Carers’ 5 day course on the 4th September 2010, which will run over 2×2 weekends and 1 assessment day.

The Welsh School of Aromatherapy had a beautiful and aromatic information stand with photographs of the work we do. Lindsay and Gwen a current diploma student was there to chat to interested people and prospective students and we were selling our lovely ethical and organic essential oils.

The event also had a  wide variety of therapists with Taster Sessions of many therapies including massage, sound healing, crystal healing, reiki, and others.

There were free talks and demonstrations ongoing on the stage in the main hall, along with special workshop.  We had a wonderful day networking, giving out information perusing the other stalls and seeing the work of the therapists in the Machynlleth area. Natural Harmony are organising more of these lovely days and we attend the ones we can.

On our Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma students have to practice their newly gained massage and aromatherapy skills on friends and family.  Initially the students worry that they will not be able to find enough of these ‘guinea pigs’ to practice for the 50 hours needed.  Frequently, after the first few volunteers have experienced the lovely treatments the poor student has to manage a rush of enthusiasm so they do not get swamped!

This photograph shows  Gwen, one of our 2009 - 10 Diploma students, massaging the hands of her ‘Taid’.   He is obviously enjoying the experience, and from initially being less than keen he now enjoys a regular session.  She says that they have now progressed to neck and shoulders, and that soon he will be happy to experience legs and feet being massaged. Nice one Taid!

I enjoyed the whole day!  It was informative, peaceful, relaxing and what I’ve learnt will come in really useful.

I have developed most in being still and tranquil, breathing, listening, feeling and focusing on what I felt ‘physically’ and being in tune with that.

The first attunement I was quite apprehensive and self-conscious and only felt the benefits and insights later.  The work done before the second attunement gave me confidence to open up and simple accept it.

My individual needs were being supported in every way.  The pace of the course was good, and the tutor was very approachable and welcoming, with an infectious faith in the group.

I have developed most today in accepting healing and being on the receiving end.

The best part of the day was the atmosphere created by the healing, the wonderful people and of course such an enthusiastic and knowledgable teacher.
