This is the most stimulating course I have studied in years.

Therapy with Essential Oils

A New Welsh School of Aromatherapy  Distance Learning Course

Designed for complementary therapists of all kinds who are already trained and practicing, to enhance the work you do through the use of essential oils.

Aromatherapy blends exquisitely well with all manner of existing therapies, including: Reflexology, Shiatsu, Reiki, and of course, massage therapies.

This course offers extensive training in the safe and dynamic therapeutic application of essential oils. It is especially useful to those who may not need to learn the massage skills included in the longer course.

The course is suitable for absolute beginners in Aromatherapy and also for those with a basic understanding. Especially when the subject is one of many in a broad ‘Holistic Therapies’ qualification, practitioners may qualify without sufficient knowledge to implement optimum use of the essential oils for their clients.

What will you learn?

The course includes all essential oil and anatomy and physiology theory involved in the Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma over 30 modules with assignments, home practical work, essential oil thesis and case studies, which you will work through and will be individually marked by your personal tutor.

Upgrade

Therapy with Essential Oils can be upgraded at a later date (applying within three years of qualifying) to the Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma, which is also accredited by the longest established organisation for professional aromatherapists in the world, the International Federation of Aromatherapy (IFA). The Welsh School of Aromatherapy can provide the aromatherapy massage and practical modules necessary for the IFA examination. Those undertaking the aromatherapy massage and practical modules are required to attend seven weekend workshops in Wales, which start in September each year, plus one weekend for the IFA theory and practical examinations.

Application

All are welcome, however to study by correspondence you have to have a good command of the English language and be able organise your study time. To apply download the application form available on this site and mark it ‘Therapy with Essential Oils training’.

Duration

This course may be started at anytime and takes a minimum of 6 months of home study depending on your ability and time available to study, and must be completed within 18 months.

Congratulations to 2008 Graduating Aromatherapy Students

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

As principal of the school I am so proud of my 2007-8 students. This year without exception each student who completed the course worked their hardest and committed themselves one hundred percent. They have changed their routines, what they knew and how they thought. They have embraced new skills and ways of being, gaining great confidence in their emerging abilities over this past year.

I would like to thank them for the pleasure of teaching such a wonderful group of what are excellent fledging therapists. Already without exception they all have work planned as self-employed holistic aromatherapists in their own new businesses or integrating the therapy into an already established business, also gaining employment within mental-health and care of the elderly. I send warmest thoughts to them for their future lives. Look out world here they come!
